Who looks outside, dreams

Mum, let me out please. It’s a nice day outside. I should be out there. Really. I should. Squirrels need to be chased, and mice killed. Mum. Please.

Quote of the Day

Each one has to find his peace from within. And peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumstances. (Mahatma Gandhi)

Title quote from Carl Jung: Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.

  1. We are so sorry that you do not get to go outside. Hope your mum does open the windows for you (can’t tell from the photo) so you can at least get some good whiffies of the squirrels, mice and birdies. 2. Interesting post – LOL! My cats didn’t know what to do with a house mouse since it didn’t come in a can with an orange label that said “Iams”.

    • I came home once to find a dead bird in the house. I was finding feathers for weeks afterwards. Apparently the poor bird put up quite a fight, but at the time I had two cats who were chasing it. Ellie

  3. HMC I know what it’s like to have to see the outside from in (at least most of the time!). I am harness/leash trained though so Mom takes me for walks AND during the day if my Mom or Dad is in the mood (!!) they’ll accompany be outside WITHOUT the harness (yay – freedom). Anyway, we ARE much more safe inside, but it’s tough to catch a mouse or vole with our eyes isn’t it!!!??
