Cat Yoga


Here I am demonstrating the Kitty’s Pose. As cats, our poses are so much more limber and showy than the humans’ poses. Of course, we have less need than humans to meditate to relieve stress, so our bodies stay lissome.

1. Forget kneeling on the floor. A “kneel” on the sofa will do.

2. Exhale and put your paws between your hind legs, stretching the hind legs far over your head.

3. Feeling your weight is unnecessary. We’re weightless when sleeping doing yoga.

4. This is a resting pose. Stay in this pose anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours or beyond.

  1. Ah..kitty yoga…wise felines! my four girls are masters at the crouching kitty,the ballet leg (up and over the ears) the meditative sphinx, the karmic couch drape, well..you get the picture πŸ™‚ Beautiful photo πŸ™‚
