More on blankets

My blanket

See this blanket? It used to belong to the dog. I have managed to make it my own. In fact, mum wraps me in this blanket when we go to the vet’s. Oftentimes I choose not to leave my blanket when the vet comes into the examination room. It’s much warmer when I’m wrapped in my blanket and stuffed in my mum’s coat that being on that stupid examination table! In deference to my senior status, the vet staff often lets me keep my blanket when they examine  me. I am much more relaxed here on the couch with my blanket than I am at the vet’s. <Yawn.>

Quotes of the Day

Love is like a blanket: it will keep you warm, but it might also suffocate you. Also, it’s probably covered with cat hair–love, I mean. (Jarod Kintz)

Think what a better world it would be if we all, the whole world, had cookies and milk about three o’clock every afternoon and then lay down on our blankets for a nap. (Barbara Jordan)

  1. Hi HMC……I think you look so very cozy in your blanket AND I think it’s grand that the vet lets you stay cozied up in your “security blanket” when you’re visiting them…..I’m sure they know that you and your blanket are best buddies.

  2. How smart is Barbara Jordan; even though, she didn’t mention having a cat by our sides. Now that would be purrfect! You do look very cozy in your blanket, HMC. What a great way to visit the vet. We get stuffed into one of those dreaded PTUs. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
