A winter wonderhell

My thanks to Feminine Vestige for her wonderful post, upon which I based my title!

We are sick

Snow-1

of snow,

Snow-2

cold weather, and ice,

Snow-3

of which there is at least four inches on our front and back walks. (P.S. Yes, that’s the power line to the house.)

We’ve had some sunny days

Snow-4

but mostly the cats don’t give a darn about the snow, ice, and cold,

Snow-5

except maybe this creature – the catsquatch –

Snow-6

who has some pretty sharp claws

Snow-7

which have drawn blood from the humans.

The end.

Quotes of the Day

Now is the winter of our discontent. (William Shakespeare)

Winter is nature’s way of saying, ‘Up yours.’ (Robert Byrne)

No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn. (Hal Borland)

  1. EEEK on the icicles around your power line – do not go out there to see them in purrrrrson as if one of those knocked you down you’d STAY there!!! Will Shakespeare hit the nail on the proverbial head with the “This is the winter of our discontent” quote……oh yeah…..we’re SICK of it!

    Hugs, Sammy

  2. I love this post! I am sick of winter as well. Of course, I was sick of it before it even began. I don’t know why I live in Michigan sometimes MOL . The catsquatch is hilarious!

  3. So much to give us a good laugh in this post, which we all need during this winter which is still making all of us disconnected…the toilet paper, Sasquatch and Mr. Robert Byrne to name a few. Thanks for giving us some exceptionally loud chuckles. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
